Belmond Splendido Mare was an exceptional hotel. The location right in town couldn't have been more perfect. While the rooms were slightly smaller, they were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful, kind and enjoyable. If only I could go back for breakfast on the patio again! It was tremendous. We were not there long enough to enjoy the Belmond Hotel up on the mountain as much as we would have liked, but they did a great job of taking people back and forth on a regular basis. If you go to Portofino, I highly recommend the Belmond Splendido Mare.

Belmond Hotel Splendido & Belmond Splendido Mare include 2 buildings, one set on a verdant hillside overlooking the yachts of Portofino Harbour, and the other right by the famous Piazzetta square. Those of the waterfront Belmond Splendido Mare annex offer views of the sea or the village.
