Experiencing the stunning Alpine landscape
Visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities in which they can really take advantage of the breathtaking landscape that surrounds Méribel. Why not hire a snow mobile, or give snow shoeing a try? Experience the thrill of dog sledding, enjoy a horse sleigh ride, or have a go at Ski-Joëring (being pulled behind a horse whilst on skis)? If you want to take your skiing to the next level, explore heli-skiing or a guided off-piste tour. And the really adventurous have the opportunity to experience the Alps with a truly jaw-dropping paragliding experience. Of course, you may prefer to experience the stunning scenery on foot on one of the many walking routes throughout the area.
World class sporting events
With its excellent facilities, Méribel is a popular venue for important winter sports championships and professional competitions. Visitors can witness some of the finest athletes in their field in events such as the Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals.
But it’s not all about the snow
As a key venue in the 1992 Winter Olympics, Méribel’s impressive Olympic Centre features a 25m indoor pool (with dedicated children’s pool and water slides) and an indoor ice rink. And when your legs are tired from all that skiing, the well-appointed spa provides a welcome spot of relaxation and pampering.
