Loved the property, the style, decoration, quality and service. Already stayed at some of chain's properties before, always amazing experience.

Staff is inexperienced, service questionable, got the feeling that the staff started a day before, waited a long long time for wine and a poor margharita, for that price category and hotel ranking I was expecting much better service. Hotel, rooms, facilities and food was great though. It’s worth the visit but hopefully by then the staff knows how to make a margharita and cook scrambled eggs.

This is a 5* hotel on the hill just outside of Aix old town. The boutique hotel had beautiful wall grounds with statues and art work everywhere. Very ‘old school’. We would like to note the wonderful hospitality of the Breakfast Chef on our final day as he was one of the few that said hello to us and wanted to make sure we had everything - and even served us the local special cake. His 26 yrs at R$C showed as he even went around and gave everyone leaving that morning a bag with water and some local cookies!Reclassify & Chateau -we have stayed as 5RC members at 6 properties this year alone and always had the best service until this hotel. Upon check in, we were not offered any water although it was offered to those arriving shortly after us. We were whisked off to our room with the guide noting here is the Te Salon there is the dinning area, the pool is over there as well as the spa. Our room was a. I level with small bedroom down and bathroom up 2flights of stairs and overlooked the roof on the entry (constant drone of bags rolling up and down the entry walkway). There was no overview of the room. We showed our agreement with the front desk (balcony overlooking the garden) but they noted we had been upgraded (to a room that was now the size of our bathroom). There was no turn down service and we had to call and ask for the routine bottle of complementary water. With the exception of the breakfast Chef, few staff ever acknowledged us. No other amenity was offered us a 5RC members. The bedroom was very small and photo of the small bed as well (vs kings at all other R&C properties). Photos of the stairs, small bed and room and roofs at attached. For € 730 per night, we will not make this mistake again. This really is a 1or 2* rating but due to the kindness of you breakfast Chef, we award him 5* for an average stay.
