La Bastide de Marie

Beautiful! Went for lunch and would love to go back to stay as a guest.

eautiful place spoiled by very bad service. Food was ok but service in the restaurant was slow. Worst part came after though! The hotel had a plastic jar of water with some oranges displayed in the lobby, no sings whatsoever. We assumed it’s just water they provide, like all normal hotels do, especially when it’s 34C. Ended up finding out after 3 of us had 2 glasses each that it’s apparently ice tea (it was not! Just water with ice and orange, really!) and it’s €6 per glass. Ridiculous and obscene! Ended paying €36 for it. Left with a really bad taste about this place.

What a fantastic place! It is so romantic, peaceful and holistic. The customer service is second to none. That what your family members would do for you if you come for a stay, they go over and above to make your stay special. If you want this Provence charm, excellent food, spectacular views and very friendly people La Bastide de Marie is your choice. For the second part of our travel we stayed at La Bastide de Gorde which is very nice too but something was missing there, it was not the same intimate, relaxed atmosphere as in La Bastide de Marie. And yes, a few minor things like a bathroom size, etc could be improved but it just simply do not notice it when you are surrounded by this beauty, sitting in the middle of the vineyard and sipping bottomless wine and eating superbly cooked local produce. The building itself is an interior designer dream and it just takes your breath away looking at tastefully decorated lounge when you walk down the stairs every morning. I would call La Bastide de Marie as a place for your soul when you want to escape and just dissolve in nature and beauty. This is the honest review from a couple who travel a lot and stay in the world famous hotels. Sometimes, you just want La Bastide de Marie in your life. If you know, you would understand what I mean.
