How to go to Koh Samui

Take a bus and ferry combination: If you prefer to travel by land, you can take a bus from Bangkok or other cities in Thailand to the mainland port of Don Sak and then catch a ferry from there to Koh Samui. The bus ride from Bangkok to Don Sak takes about six hours, and the ferry ride from Don Sak to Koh Samui takes about two hours.
