Fidanka Houses, a family enterprise, is 1.5 km drive to central Kalkan. Fidanka Hotel, is the story of a family leaving everything away in Istanbul in order to settle permanently in Kalkan in 2000. What inspired this story was the deep love of Ms. Nüket, mother of Ms. Bilge, a film producer, for Kalkan in the 1980’s. Fidanka, meaning female sapling in Bulgarian, was set in an ambience of assorted antiquities collected from Istanbul, Bursa and Anatolia and thousands of flowers planted before the construction, numberless pictures and mosaics as well as assorted objects including the owners’ childhood toys. Fidanka Houses is teemed with the examples of rigorous work. Even the stone-crafting took 24 months. And no surprise, it was announced the “bibelot of Kalkan” by the mayor. Suite rooms are 200 meters to the seashore. The family welcomes you in a warm setting enriched with delightful gardens, antique objects, venues with essence and tranquility, with the hand-made dishes as the cherry on top.
